Sarvartha Chandrika is a compilation of the works of the great Telugu poet, Sri Sri. The book has been compiled by eminent scholar Dr. Muthuswamy Gopala Krishna Savant, which includes over 30 poems by the poet in his original work along with an introduction penned by Dr. Gokulakrishna Ayyar himself. The volume was published during 1923 and 1924, after it had been requested by Dr. Madhusudana Rao who then formed a trust to promote Telugu literature and culture in general and Sarvartha Chandrika in particular. Despoina, an agency based in Madras assumed the printing and publishing of the book. The first two editions were edited by K. Srinivasa Rao, a respected professor and researcher who compared manuscripts of rare Telugu books to confirm their accuracy. Later on, A.S Nageswara Rao obtained the rights of the book and re-published it with minor changes in 1967 at Madras. The first edition was released by Sri Vavilala Gopala Krishnayya Pantulu on 9 October 1923 at Madras. The book was so well received that it was reprinted by Sri Vavilala for sale for a second time. It was later on reprinted by the Saraswathi Publishing House in 1969 with minor changes. The editor's introduction to the first edition of Sarvartha Chandrika is based on the writer's words, which are as follows - "Sarvartha Chandrika" ("A Collection of Works") is a compilation of works in Sanskrit and Telugu by Sri Narayana Guru. The book has been published by Srisriram Krishnaswami Naidu Trust and it is an effort to popularise his works. The first two editions of the book contained a total of 30 poems by the saint and they were as follows:Telugu and Sanskrit versions of the first edition differ slightly. A few other poems were also omitted from subsequent reprints, such as "Rama Nama", "Viswaksena", "Sri Krishna Geetam", etc. The Telugu version of "Sarvartha Chandrika" was initially released by Sri Vavilala Gopala Krishnayya Pantulu on 9 October 1923. The book was so well received that it was reprinted by the same for sale for a second time. Later on, the Saraswathi Publishing House in 1969 reprinted the book with minor changes. cfa1e77820
